Photo of our teachers winning their 2018 grants from the Kiwanis Club to be used for various STEM programs and resources at Sacred Heart. Robotics kits for technology class, geocaching materials for science and subscriptions to online resources such as Scootpad and Buncee for grades one and five were among the eight grants awarded to Sacred Heart teachers.
Sacred Heart is embarking on a venture to become STREAM certified through the Diocese. STREAM (Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Art, Math) is the Diocesan extension of STEM and adds in the arts and religion as an integral part of our mission toward academic excellence. Sacred Heart is also proud to offer technology classes in grades PK-5 that are in alignment with the ISTE (International Standards of Technology Education) standards, and grades 6-8 have an additional STEM/STREAM component for their technology coursework.
