Edgewater is located along the Indian River, between New Smyrna Beach and Oak Hill. Its River Walk is a scenic location for festivals. The fishing is great year-round. It is home to leading-edge manufacturers, including Boston Whaler, Edgewater Power Boats and Everglades Boats. Dougherty Manufacturing and Custom Tube Products manufacture to the exacting standards of the automotive and aviation industries. The launch of the Southeast Volusia School of Science & Technology is scheduled for 2019. It has the largest contiguous industrially-zoned area in Volusia County, including its ParkTowne Industrial Center.
